Grand Canyon Railroad
Train to the Grand Canyon leaves daily at 10am. The railroad depot
is located 1.5 miles from the hotel. Upon request we will reserve
train tickets.
Air-Conditioned Van to the Grand Canyon
Daily tours of the Grand Canyon in an air-conditioned van are
also available. Experienced guides will show you many places
that usually go unseen and you will hear many intresting stories
of the past, present and future of the Grand Canyon.
Downtown Williams.
Visit Historic Downtown Williams which is listed on the National Register
of Historic Places. Most of the buildings were constructed before
the turn of the century!
Lakes and Reservoirs
Williams boasts seven lakes and man-made reservoirs which offer
plenty of watersports and excellent trout fishing.
Hunting
Pope and Young (archery) lists the area Northeast of Williams
as home to the first, second and third world records for elk.
Other records include mule deer and pronghorn antelope.
Historic Route 66
Williams was the last "Route 66" town in America to be by-passed
by the freeway system. Here you'll find what remains of a by-gone era
of neon lighted streets of old Route 66.
